Crock Pot Pork Chops and Apple Slices - Plating Up - Maine Food ...

It?s that time of year again, time to break out the crock pot for some slow cooked comfort food. This recipe for pork chops and apples is a perfect fall dinner, in a few easy steps.

Crock Pot Pork Chops and Apple Slices

4 pork loin chops (1-inch thick) well-trimmed
2 medium apples peeled, cored and sliced
1 teaspoon butter
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
Salt and pepper

In skillet, brown pork chops quickly; drain well.

Arrange a layer of sliced apples in crockpot, then a layer of pork chops; repeat. Dot with butter; sprinkle with nutmeg. Add salt and pepper.

Cover and cook on low setting 6 to 8 hours.

Serves 4.
