A tornado touched down in the Manomet section of Plymouth last Tuesday, the National Weather Service reported Monday.
The tornado, which registered an EF0, was in the least serious category on the measurement scale used by the weather service and had winds estimated at 65 mph.
The weather service said three waterspouts formed off the coast of Manomet just after 4 p.m. on July 24, and "then rapidly moved onshore causing minor damage at White Horse Beach."
A waterspout moving onshore and causing damage is classified as a tornado.
Damage was very minimal, the weather service said. A window, a beach umbrella and a few awnings were reported damaged.
