Larry the Cable Guy is a multiplatinum recording artist, Grammy nominee, Billboard award winner and one of the top comedians in the country. Bill Engvall isone of the top comedians today and among the busiest. Bill was the host on the game show LINGO for GSN, which premiered on June 6, 2011 and was the highest rated show in GSN network history. He had a 3 episode arc on the TNT show Hawthorne, narrated a documentary for the Speed Channel on Darrel Waltrip and starred in the Hallmark Channel movie Kiss at Pine Lake.

Larry and Bill just completed Them Idiots Whirled Tour, with Jeff Foxworthy. The three reunited for a tour which was filmed as a special for CMT. The special aired in March of 2012 and was also released on DVD and CD by Warner Bros/Jack Records, debuting at number one on the Billboard Comedy Charts. Larry, Jeff and Bill will also star in a new animated show for CMT called Bounty Hunters, which is set to premiere in the spring of 2013.

Look for a 10-to-1 Carb-to-Fiber Ratio to Find Actually Healthy Whole-Grain Foods

It seems like almost everything is labeled with the healthy eating buzzphrase "whole grain" these days. But those whole-grain claims can be misleading when we're looking for healthy food. Harvard researchers offer this rule of thumb for choosing good whole-grain foods: look for a 10:1 ratio of carbohydrates to fiber.

When you look at the nutrition panel on a product, make sure that for every 10 grams of total carbohydrates there's at least one gram of fiber. As the Harvard Health blog points out, this is about the ratio of carbohydrates and fiber that's in unprocessed wheat, a genuine whole grain.

The recommendation comes from a study done by researchers at the Harvard School of Public Health. They evaluated 545 grain products and tallied up their nutritional components. Foods that met the 10:1 ratio "tended to have less sugar, sodium, and trans fats than those that didn't."

This is an easier method than reading a long ingredient list looking for the word "whole" before every grain (a recommendation from the USDA). It might also be more reliable than looking at the order of ingredients or seeing a Whole Grain stamp on packaging, since foods labeled "whole grain" are often unhealthy (Fruit Loops, anyone?).

Official Nexus 4 wireless charging orb appears at Norwegian retailer, Feb. release slated

With the announcement of any official Nexus accessory comes the certainty of months of speculation as to if, when and where it'll eventually be released. So was the case with the Nexus 4's official Qi-based wireless charging mat, first shown on launch day back in November, and increasingly elusive since that time.

Today the official orb-shaped charger has shown up for pre-order on Norwegian retailer Dustin Home, priced at 739 kr (around $114 U.S.) That might sound like a lot of cash for a charging orb, but we suspect that won't be indicative of U.S. pricing when it officially arrives in the States. (It's also worth remembering this price will include Norwegian VAT at 25%.)

Dustin Home has an estimated shipping date of Feb. 12, so you'll be waiting a while if you decide to get your order in early. There are cheaper alternatives available, as the Nexus 4 will work quite happily with any Qi-compatible charging mat. But if you're holding out for something a little more stylish, the mid-February shipping date suggests that wider orb availability may be upon us sooner rather than later.

DARPA unveils plans for undersea payloads that surface on command

DARPA already intends to set a drone ship out to sea, and now it's revealed plans for undersea payloads that lie dormant for years and launch themselves to the surface when remotely commanded. Dubbed Upward Falling Payloads, the containers will carry non-lethal cargo such as small UAVs or networking hardware, and take advantage of the "cheap stealth" their position underwater grants them. Since the vision is to have a fleet of UFPs spread throughout ocean floors, it'll help the Navy "get close to the areas we need to affect, or become widely distributed without delay," according to DARPA Program Manager Andy Coon. DARPA is aiming to tap engineering talent from telecom companies to the oil exploration industry in order to solve challenges such as communications used to wake up payload nodes and launching them to the surface. There's no word on when UFPs will begin lurking sea floors, but DARPA is already looking for proposals to help build them.

Golf club?s life-saving defibrillator

The defibrillator was presented by Kim Morrissey from GWAS, (community response manager) to Jim Perrett (Rotary Club of Clevedon president) and Tim Liddeatt (golf club captain). Chris Parsons (right) provided training for the golf club?s staff in the use of a defibrillator.

A PIECE of life-saving equipment has been installed at Clevedon Golf Club.

The defibrillator has been donated by Great Western Ambulance Service after a request from The Rotary Club of Clevedon.

It can be used on a patient when suffering a cardiac arrest and gives the heart an electric shock.

Staff at the Castle Road club have been trained how to use it by Chris Parsons of Nailsea-based South West Medical Services.

Now, the rotary club plans to fund more defibrillators to be installed in other areas of Clevedon.

A club spokesman said: ?This equipment can make a difference between surviving and dying while the emergency services are on their way.

?It will be available to all members of the public in the event of an emergency during the day.?
